You may recall at last Wednesday’s General Membership Meeting that there was an announcement of an organization – the Virginia Beach Council of Civic Organizations (VBCCO) – that brings together all civic leagues, HOAs, etc. with a goal of educating and understanding how the City of Virginia Beach government works. They hold monthly membership meetings the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm. Your Salem Woods Civic Association (SWCA) is a paid and voting member on VBCCO, therefore there is no need for individual homeowners and renters to purchase a membership unless you want to. By our by-laws, with the SWCA membership, the President and Vice President are our voting members. You are free to join and learn so much about how our city works. I encourage sitting in on at least one to see what a wealth of information they are. I will add that this is an adults-only meeting.
